Algebra: Calculator Day Programs Are Posted...

There are lots of cool variations you can work with.
If you'd like to challenge yourself, see if, after having the user input the quantity bought and price bought and selling price if you can create a program which tells the user a) how many products he needs to sell to make a profit of 0 or better (called "breakeven") or if the user inputs a profit goal, see if you can tell him how many products he needs to sell.

These are GREAT exercises for making sure you understand profit and loss.

The Quadratic Formula according to the IRS

This is one for the Precal guys, particularly those of you who have filled out a tax return before. If you haven't filled on out before, it's not something to look forward to. On the other hand, some things in life are unpleasant, but you still have to do them: a valuable life lesson.

Too cool for Skoool

Algebra students:
You'll want to check out this site, Skoool. It's from Intel, and they've created versions for the UK, Ireland, and Sweden (not the USA). If you click the Skoool link here and scroll down to #29, you'll find a good lesson on algebraic fractions and even some tests to make sure you get it.
